1. The seller
The website www.chezpopol.be is operated by Chez Popol SRL, Rue de Battice 53, 4800 Petit-Rechain (Belgium). Company / VAT number: BE0695.499.106. Phone: +32 87 66 26 49. Email: info@chezpopol.be.
2. Scope
These terms apply to all orders placed on www.chezpopol.be. Purchases made in the shop in Petit-Rechain are not covered. By confirming the order, the customer declares that they have read and accept these terms.
3. Products
Products are described as accurately as possible. Photos are not contractual; only the information on the label of the product delivered is binding (ingredients, allergens, best-before date). Offers are valid while stocks last.
4. Sale of alcohol
The sale of alcoholic beverages is restricted to persons aged 18 and over. By ordering a product containing alcohol, the customer confirms that they are of the required age. Chez Popol may refuse or cancel an order if there is any doubt about the customer’s age.
5. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes. Delivery charges are shown separately before the order is confirmed. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of ordering.
6. Orders
The contract is concluded when the customer confirms the order and the payment is accepted. A confirmation email summarising the order is then sent. Chez Popol reserves the right to cancel an order in the event of an obvious pricing error, lack of stock or a payment problem; the customer is then refunded in full.
7. Payment
Payment is made online by PayPal, credit card, Bancontact or iDEAL via PayPal’s secure platform, or by bank transfer. For payment by bank transfer, the order is prepared once payment has been received. Chez Popol never has access to the customer’s full bank details.
8. Delivery
Chez Popol delivers to Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. Delivery charges and times are detailed on the Delivery page. Delivery is free from €80 incl. VAT to Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The customer checks the condition of the parcel on receipt and reports any damage within 3 days to info@chezpopol.be, with photos.
9. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have 14 days from receipt to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, under the conditions and exceptions described on the Right of withdrawal and returns page.
10. Legal guarantee
Products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by the Belgian Civil Code. A product that is non-conforming or damaged on delivery will be replaced or refunded. For foodstuffs, conformity is assessed in relation to the best-before date shown on the packaging.
11. Personal data
The processing of customer data is described in the privacy policy.
12. Complaints and disputes
Complaints can be sent to info@chezpopol.be or by post to the address above. If no amicable solution is found, consumers can contact the Belgian Consumer Ombudsman Service (www.consumerombudsman.be) free of charge. These terms are governed by Belgian law, without depriving consumers of the protection afforded to them by the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
